First Day of Fall at OTFM

Engage all your senses as you shop the colors, flavors, sights, and aromas of fall. Saturday is the first day of fall, the Autumnal Equinox, when the amount of nighttime and daytime (sunlight) are roughly equal to each other. It’s the perfect day to join us between 8:00 and noon for a fun-filled morning honoring the harvests of the season and welcoming in the change in weather. (65-75 degrees BTW...)

9-12:
FREE Water Quality Exhibit
We’re welcoming Jessica Balu back with a #Wichitawesome limnology exhibit.
Limnology - The study of the biological, chemical, and physical features of lakes and other bodies of freshwater.
This FREE exhibit teaches you to identify what is living in a sample of water collected nearby. As a bonus, you’ll also learn how to use the critters identified to judge the quality of the water with sketching supplies on-hand so you can create your own field notes. Very cool!
This fun and interactive exhibit is for all ages – adults included.

10-12: Live music featuring Mark Bowling
Mark is a storyteller and great singer/songwriter playing a cool mix of soulful-folk-county. Be sure to check out his website and Facebook page and learn more about this talented local musician.

8-12 In Season Bistro
Support the Market and enjoy a fresh, Market-to-Table brunch menu.
- This unassuming pop-up eatery’s purpose is to reveal the simplicity of making and eating delicious, real food, while helping financially support Old Town Farmers' Market's programs. There is no doubt that the area’s finest in sustainably grown produce and responsibly farm-raised beef, pork and poultry can be found at Old Town Farmers' Market. Sourcing first from Market producers and Kansas farms, then filling ingredient gaps with Certified Organic options, our desire is to increase the sales of Market producers and highlight the quality and importance of food ingredients grown, raised and sold in Kansas.
