Last indoor Market cancelled! OTFM@Distillery 244

The last indoor Market at Distillery 244 Old Town has been cancelled. Market producers chose to take a week and prepare for the outdoor season, opening next weekend. 

Opening Day for the Outdoor Season: Saturday, April 21st at Farm & Art Plaza. 
(1st and Mosley in front of the Museum of World Treasures)

 This free, networking event is an opportunity to connect with others in the local food system. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Downtown YMCA Community Room. Light drinks and snacks will be provided.   If you grow, raise, or produce a local food product, join us to meet other farmers, potential buyers, and other service providers.   If you own or operate a restaurant, grocery store, or other local food business that might purchase local ingredients, join us to meet local producers of meat, produce, honey, or other foods that you could use or sell in your business.   If you are a business that supports local producers or a non-profit that is interested in working with the local food system, this is a great opportunity to meet a wide range of people who make our food system work.

All contestants should come to the Information Booth to enter. A photo will be taken of each contestant and voted on over the holiday break. First place winner will receive $10 and second place winner will receive $5 in Market tokens. Bring on the UGLY! 

In addition to your weekly groceries, find last minute gifts and the freshest ingredients for your holiday meals. 

Meet your farmers and artisans, enjoy a freshly-prepared In Season Bistro meal, shop while sipping a cocktail, and catching up with friends. 

OTFM accepts SNAP! Families and individuals with SNAP/EBT benefits may use those to purchase fresh, local food from all participating vendors. SNAP Benefits can buy foods such as: breads and cereals, fruits and vegetables, meats, and eggs. Stop by the Information Booth to convert your benefits into Market tokens. 

- While supplies last, get a FREE cup of coffee! Please bring your own reusable mug.
- Reduce waste: remember to bring your reusable bags to OTFM or purchase upcycled, reusable mesh produce bags for only $1.00 ea. These bags are created from Bartlett Arboretum tulip bags and are perfect for carrying produce home from the Market!

This Sunday, November 5, is opening day at Wichita's new indoor farmers' market: OTFM @ Distillery 244. 
Your favorite local farmers will be selling cool season crops such as spinach, lettuce and general salad mixes, radish, microgreens, turnips, kohlrabi, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, and more. We also have a nice variety of baked goods, as well as meats: beef, pork, chicken and turkey. High quality handmade and artisan goods perfect for the home and holiday gifts. 
Market goers can find breakfast and brunch selections while enjoying a cocktail from Wheat State Distilling. 
Come shop from high quality producers and artisans while sipping on a bloody mary, mimosa, fresh roasted coffee or organic loose leaf tea!
